What We Believe

Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and our only Savior from our sin:

Luke 1:35: And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Forgiveness of our sins is through repentance and the washing of our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ:

Luke 24:46-47: It was necessary for Christ to suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations.

Water baptism is a sign of the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus. It is a ceremony that outwardly shows people you have decided to make God the Lord of your life. You are telling the world that it is God who is now in control of your destiny, and not you yourself:

Acts 2:38: “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

God is a triune God existing in three distinct persons: He is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit:

John 10:30: I and My Father are One.

The Bible is the infallible Word of God:

John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and died shedding His blood for the remission of our sins. He became sin who knew no sin; rising again on the third day triumphing over sin and death:

Hebrews 10:6: He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Hebrews 2:14: Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

Our faith in Christ grows by obedience to the Word of God, and submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is necessary for spiritual growth, and the bearing of the fruit of the Spirit. As we do this, we are being conformed to the image of Christ

Colossians 1:10: that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Jesus Christ will return to the Earth again, to judge our works and to claim us, His bride:

Revelation 20:12: And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

In order to spend eternity in Heaven with God, you must be “Born Again.” When you were born by your mother, you were born from her flesh. That was the first birth. When you invite Jesus to live in your heart, you are born of the Spirit. That is the second birth. In other words, you were born a second time or “born again” as it is called.

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God"

Tithing (the giving of 10% of your gross income) is not an Old Testament law. Tithing was before the law. It is required by God for the building up of His church and for the advancing of His kingdom into all Nations. God promises rewards to us for giving.

Malachi 3:10: “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.

You should be reading the Word of God daily, to learn more about your Heavenly Father. The more you learn about God, the more you will fall in love with Him:

Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
